Painted Kitchen Towels

I went a little bit overboard with my Christmas crafts. I had so much fun though, and I just couldn’t stop! I wanted to make these adorable hand-painted kitchen towels as gifts this year and had a downloaded a template from Katie at Addicted 2 DIY to make this craft easier than ever! The template can be found here.

Once the template was downloaded, I uploaded the images to my Cricut Explore and set about cutting it out on vinyl sheets. Once the images were cut out, I pulled them from the mat. It’s important to be extremely careful when removing them from the mat as the vinyl tears easily and will need to be cut again. The vinyl sticks right onto the towels! Make sure to press the vinyl down firmly and smooth out any wrinkles before painting. I used black fabric paint and painted right over the stencils and VOILA! This craft was done in no time at all.

    1. Thank you! Mine aren’t perfect, and I would definitely recommend ironing your towels first. That would help the vinyl stay down better and your paint would go on more evenly. Next time, I’ll make sure to do that!
